Clergy | Deacon and Pastoral Associate

A deacon is ordained for a ministry of service, modeling Christ the Servant. Their theological identity is rooted in this spirituality of service, which is lived out in many ways. Deacons are called to be authoritative preachers of the Word of God, believing what they preach, teaching what they believe, and living what they teach. They assist priests and bishops in liturgical functions, such as proclaiming the Gospel and distributing Holy Communion and even administer many of the sacraments.
Dcn. Brian's ministry for St. Anne includes support for families and youth and presence in the school.

A Director of Religious Education (DRE) plays a vital role in fostering faith formation for all ages, particularly children and youth. As a vowed religious, Mo. Carmela belongs to the Leaven of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters whose charism includes a contemplative-active life dedicated to the education and formation of the young and the family.
